Arjuna George is a retired Fire Chief, executive coach, author, educator, and host of the **Beneath the Helmet Podcast**, where he explores the human side of the fire service and the conversations that often happen beneath the surface.
After more than 24 years in the fire service, including over a decade as a Chief Officer, Arjuna understands both the privilege and the weight that can come with a career built around serving others. His own experience with burnout became a turning point, leading him to explore stress, recovery, leadership, identity, nervous system health, and what it really takes to build a sustainable career and life.
Today, Arjuna is the founder of **Silver Arrow Coaching and Consulting**, where he works with first responders, leaders, organizations, and high performers through coaching, education, workshops, and speaking. He is also a Certified TRE® Provider and the author of **Burnt Around the Edges: A Guide to Mastering Stress and Surviving Burnout** and co-author of **Leading the Charge**.
Through Beneath the Helmet, Arjuna brings together firefighters, fire service leaders, clinicians, researchers, coaches, authors, and people with lived experience to explore the **mind, body, leadership, relationships, culture, and recovery** behind the uniform.
At its heart, the podcast is about something bigger than firefighting.
It is about the person wearing the helmet.
Arjuna believes a healthy fire service begins with healthy people, stronger conversations, better leadership, and the courage to pay attention to ourselves before the warning lights come on.
His philosophy is simple:
**Healthy Hire. Healthy Career. Healthy Retire.**
Beneath the Helmet is a place for honest conversations, practical tools, new ideas, and stories that remind us that taking care of the person beneath the helmet is part of the job too.
